Ideas:

  • Play a game with little candies (M&Ms, Skittles, Nerds, whatever!). Put a candy on a particular state or country, and whoever can name that place first gets the candy. This is a great way to teach younger children, and older ones like the incentive of the candy also!

  • The Story of the World—great book just to read every day, there are 3 volumes, you can get it on CD, vol. 3 is narrated by Jim Weiss.  This set is made for 1st grade or so & up.  There is an activity book to go along with it, to color pictures re: the topic you are studying.
