Food

I love cooking, and I love exploring new recipes.  (The part I hate is the dishes--but I think that's for another section!).

My newest favorite recipe site is Recipe Zaar, and I'm literally on that site every single day.  The neatest thing about that site is that you can sift recipes by ingredients.  If you want to make spaghetti with canned tomatoes, you can choose to show recipes with canned tomatoes.  If you want to make pancakes with no eggs or milk, you can choose "don't show: eggs, milk."  If you're out of particular ingredients, this tool is super handy!!

I've recently made a couple of pages for my reference, and figured you might find use out of them as well. I have some foods I need to stay away from, so I made a list of "Foods my family can eat," "Foods we eat once in a while," and "Foods we enjoy only on special occasions."

This "Saving Dinner" book is SO great! It includes several menus with shopping lists--and options of making the meal low in carbs or not. This book makes it easy to eat low carb and still feed the kids! :) No work! Just copy the shopping list and head out the door!
