I'm actually
writing this
blog on the
night of the
11th, but
after a day
like today I
don't think
that waking
up at 5:15
sounds very
reasonable.
As I told
you all
earlier,
Noah began
the day with
diarrhea.
After lunch,
Isaac began
vomiting,
and after
dinner,
Kaleb joined
in. We've
been carpet
cleaning,
scrubbing,
changing
diapers and
outfits an
jammies,
serving
Pedialyte,
doing
laundry,
washing out
tubs of
vomit, etc.
What a
night! The
boys seem to
be calm now,
so I will
write
quickly.
In the news
today,
Consumer
Reports
seems to be
an advocate
of Planned
Parenthood
and
abortion.
They claim
to be a
magazine
with "no
agenda," and
yet, their
February
issue
compares
birth
control
methods and
includes
abortion.
Sad! On a
similar
note, people
are invited
to talk
about ways
of making
sure all
pregnancies
are wanted
pregnancies
on the
From Left to
Right Blog
Spot. I
encourage
you all to
join in on
the
discussions!
Interestingly,
all
pregnancies
are
wanted
pregnancies,
by God!
Wasn't He
the one who
said "Be
fruitful and
multiply"?
The stories
about the
mudslide in
California
are so
incredibly
sad! Be
praying that
God would be
comforting
these
families.
We are not
TV watchers
at all (we
have no
cable and no
reception,
by our
choice), and
we don't
usually play
videos for
our kids.
Tonight was
an exception
to the rule
as our kids
were zombies
and unable
to really
play with
any toys or
books (they
were
vomiting so
often). We
played two
good videos
for the
kids.
First, they
saw
Charlotte's
Web
which was
one of my
favorites as
a kid. I
cry at the
end, and I
love the
last line.
It goes
something
like this:
"it's not
often that
you find
somebody who
is a good
friend
and a
good writer,
and
Charlotte
was both."
That's
so cute!
The kids
also got to
watch a
short video
about Joseph
and his
brothers.
It was a
NEST Video
that I
picked up
from a
garage sale
once. I
like this
video
because it
appears to
be pretty
Biblically
accurate.
If my kids
are going to
watch a
video (which
I can assure
you will not
be happening
very
often!),
this is a
good one to
watch.
After the
kids fell
asleep,
Karry and I
watched a
bit of
Little House
on the
Prairie
Season 4
which we
picked up
from the
library.
More reviews
will be
coming soon
in our
Little House
on the
Prairie
Review
Section,
so be on the
lookout!
